Every night at bedtime I sing Colby a song, and usually it's "Hush Little Baby". I don't know what daddy is supposed to buy after the diamond ring, so I just make things up, til I can rhyme it back to mocking bird, and finish how the song begins.
I've come up with some pretty interesting rhymes.
Well, last night I asked Colby to sing the song to me, and this is what he came up with:
Hush little baby don't say a word
daddy's going to buy you a mocking bird,
and if that mocking bird don't sing,
pappa's going to buy you a diamon ring,
and if that diamond ring don't shine
pappa's going to buy you a butt,
and if that butt don't poop
pappa's going to buy you a monster
and if that monster don't scare you
pappa's going to buy you a bad guy
and if that bad guy won't fight you
pappa's going to buy you a police man,
and if that police man won't chase bad guys
pappa's going to buy you a lion
and if that lion won't roar
pappa's going to buy you a mocking bird
to feed the lion.
I was laughing through his whole song. I thought it was funny.
