Colby and I had the following conversation about getting a job after college graduation.
Colby: What kind of jobs are there?
Me: Doctors, Dentist, Lawyers, Teachers, Accountants, Professional Ball Players.
Colby: I don't like any of that stuff.
Me: What do you like?
Colby: Watching TV, playing video games, living at home letting you and daddy take care of me.
Me: That's called a bum.
Colby: Yeah that's what I want to be a professional bum. Can you and dad build me a basement to live in? What kind of video games do bums like?
Colby had a Dr.'s appointment today, and while sitting in the waiting room I lady asked me if he was my only one. I said yes, and she told me I needed to have another. When we went into the examination room, the nurse asked me "Isn't it about time to have another child." Then the Dr. told me that she will be happy with me when I have another child.
I get it people, everyone wants me to have another child. But let me ask you this. If you knew that the one you already had was preparing to live in your basement for the rest of your life, would you be in a hurry to have another one?

well....
isn't he IN kindergarten now!?!?!
Just kidding...you know i love ya always...even if you decide to be a mom of ONE foreva ♥
Colby is one of a kind. There are no other kids like him, nor will there ever be. Chances are if you have another kid, he/she will be the exact opposite of Colby. They will only share the good looks ;)
Steven once wrote a "paper" in elementary school that when he grew up he was going to be a bum. Apparently the teacher called his mom about it. He didn't understand why they were so concerned--why wouldn't he want to be a bum?? So see, there's hope yet!
Colby is so funny! I just read your blog and laugh at all the things that kid comes up with:) My personal experience is that having more kids just brings more happiness and more laughs. But you got do it when you're ready:)
That's really funny. Quinn always tells me he is going to live with me forever! I've told him no. Maybe he can move in with Colby and they cn be bums together!
that is funny.
